The process of creating “Sunset Rain Ocean”

Here are a few photos in succession showing several stages in the creation of this painting, nicknamed “Sunset Rain over Ocean”

The whole canvas is covered in thick paint daubs, depicting the colors of a sunset over an ocean, with the colors of the sunset reflected in the water below. (ignore the artist’s thumb)

Part of the canvas here has been smeared from top to bottom, right to left to give it the effect of rain pouring down from the sky above.

Here the painting has been allowed to drip for several hours, with the artist diving in every few hours to edit the drips.
